The Madison County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 1 approved a slate of rezoning requests recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission and postponed a cluster of contested items for additional review.
Commissioners approved rezones including a request from Willie Joanne Stevenson to rezone a 4-acre portion of a 22.66-acre parcel at 0 Johnson Bridge Road (Map 67 Partial 49, District 2) to permit a split for a home site; a small parcel reclassification for Ray Ballen and Mary Ann Hendis at 0 Johnny McElroy Road (Map 56 Parcel 07301) for tax-combining purposes; Rose Patterson’s request to rezone approximately 4.45 acres at 2825 Spratlin Mill Road to allow a 4-acre split; and approval for the Reynolds family to rezone 6.1 acres at 457 Rocky Bridal Hollow Road to allow an accessory dwelling unit. The board also approved the Dunlop request to permit a second home at 475 Rock Quarry Drive after Planning & Zoning recommended approval.
