VDOT reports paving, drainage and bridge progress; county raises intersection safety concerns

A VDOT representative provided the county with a quarterly report on Dec. 3, saying the 2025 paving schedule is complete, crews are doing drainage pipe replacements ahead of the 2026 paving schedule, and the bridge project over Carey's Creek is expected to finish this month if weather permits. VDOT said pavement‑marking work remains in some Fluvanna locations.
