Planning staff updated the commission on progress in the city's comprehensive plan effort with consultant HWC, saying staff has met monthly with the consultant and public participation has been robust.
Joanna reported more than 300 participants engaged through an online survey, focus groups, the farmers market and other outreach, and that staff will receive a draft plan around March or April. After commission review, the plan will be forwarded to City Council for further consideration.
Staff described the input as valuable and said the project remains on schedule. Commissioners expressed satisfaction with the turnout compared with earlier processes that drew few participants.
