"We have had resolutions where they get introduced in a work session and the following Monday we're voting on it," he said, arguing that the extra review period improves outcomes.
The commission passed the motion 5–0 and agreed to forward the proposal to the full commission for final adoption. The change was described as procedural and intended to standardize how pilots and potential TIFs are introduced and vetted at the county level.
The motion will be proposed to the full commission for formal adoption; until then it acts as the committee recommendation for how pilots and TIF proposals should be scheduled and reviewed.
