Plainview ISD approves targeted improvement plans, approves HB2 delay request and clears district housekeeping items
The board unanimously approved the Intermediate and Early Learning Center Targeted Improvement Plans, authorized the superintendent to seek a delay from TEA on House Bill 2 teacher certification implementation through 2029–30, and cleared routine items including investment policy review and disposal of surplus instructional materials.

Plainview ISD trustees unanimously approved multiple accountability and housekeeping items during the meeting, including state-required Targeted Improvement Plans (TIPs) for Plainview Intermediate and the Early Learning Center, authorization to submit a district transition request to delay implementation of House Bill 2 teacher certification requirements, an annual investment policy review, and disposal of surplus elementary instructional materials.
