County approves SRF Consulting contract for rail-crossing elimination study

The committee also noted that because federal funds are involved the county applied a qualifications-based selection process as adopted by the county on March 16, 2023.
A motion to approve the SRF contract was made and seconded; the committee approved it by voice vote. The contract will be signed and forwarded to the county board for execution.
Next steps: SRF will start the engineering study, staff will coordinate site reviews and data collection, and the county will track expenditures against grant conditions.
