Council approves expanded traffic study for potential U.S. 36 access
Council authorized an increase in the traffic-study contract after INDOT requested additional intersections be analyzed; staff said the study is a first step toward possible developer cost-sharing if a new entrance is built.

Town staff told the council they had been pursuing a right-in/right-out access point onto U.S. 36 just west of the Waukesha Center and engaged engineer AMF for a traffic study. AMF initially provided a ballpark estimate of about $25,000, but staff said Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) asked that additional intersections be included, which raised the cost.
