County reports parking lot reopened, asbestos testing delays interior schedule
Washington County facilities staff said exterior work and the parking lot are complete and the lot reopened, but interior progress slowed after potential asbestos findings; abatement work is tentatively scheduled to begin Dec. 17 and change orders to date total about $51,000 with contingency at $166,846.

Steve Canales, the county's facilities project manager, told the facilities committee that exterior work on the county complex is finished and the parking lot reopened the morning of the meeting, and said: “It's safe for everyone to use.”
