A staff member leading the item said, “I thought he'd be a good fit,” and Ben O'Mara, representing the Mechanical Juniors tag, recommended accepting the application to improve the tag's ability to meet quorum and complete its work. Roger Haringa moved to approve the appointment and Tom Young seconded; the committee approved the motion by voice vote.
The appointment fills an alternate seat to complement Ian Casey, who remains the primary member on the MVP tag. Committee members thanked the applicant and the tag chairs for their review and recommendation. The committee recorded no objections during the voice vote and concluded the item before returning to the published agenda.
