Spalding County approves updated final plat for Timon Point Phase 1

The Spalding County Board of Commissioners approved an updated final plat for Timon Point Phase 1 at its Dec. 1 meeting.
County staff said the applicant agreed to move amenities originally planned for Phase 2 into Phase 1 and provided revised plat copies reflecting that change. Speaker 11 said the changes reflect prior conversations and that the developer was amenable to starting the amenities now as part of phase 1.
Speaker 2 moved to approve the updated final plat and the board voted in favor with no opposition recorded. The chairman (or the acting chair) indicated the chairman could sign when he returned from being out of town, and staff said the speaker present was empowered to sign if necessary.
What happens next: Staff will obtain signatures on the plat and proceed with whatever permitting steps are required; the meeting record did not list infrastructure bonds, surety amounts, or a construction schedule for the amenities.
