The City of Harrison Planning Commission on Dec. 9 approved an application to split a 22-acre property at 10400 Harrison Avenue into two parcels for retail development.
Staff described the plan as Parcel A being sold to a separate entity for development—identified in discussion as the intended anchor retail box—and Parcel B to be developed by the current developer. Staff said the property is zoned correctly for the proposed retail use under Section 11-01 of the Harrison zoning regulations and that there were no conditions attached to the application.
Commissioners voiced understanding of the developer’s plan to allocate half the tract to an anchor tenant and to develop the remaining acreage themselves. The motion to approve was seconded and recorded as passing with Mr. McMurdo, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Graff and Mayor Grubbs voting in favor.
With the split approved, parcel transfers and subsequent permits for site work and tenant improvements will proceed under standard city review.
