Following a closed session held under Minnesota Statutes chapter 13D.05, subdivision 3(a) to continue the annual performance evaluation, the East Bethel City Council approved a contract for the city administrator for the 2026 year.

The council entered closed session during the Dec. 22 meeting to discuss the administrator's evaluation. After reopening the public meeting, the council reported it had reviewed the administrator's performance and stated it was satisfied with the evaluation and was looking forward to 2026. A councilmember moved to approve the contract as presented in the staff report; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote with all members saying "aye." The staff report and motion specified the contract covers the 2026 year.

The council did not read a roll-call tally on the record; the voice vote indicated unanimous approval with no opposition heard. The council then adjourned the meeting.
