The Commissioners of Trust Funds opened their meeting with a prepared statement recognizing the recent death of Evelyn “Evy” Finesse, described as a longtime treasurer/collector for the Town of Needham.

The statement, read by an unidentified commissioner, said Finesse organized trust‑fund documentation, ensured beneficiaries received funds in a timely manner, and exemplified dedicated town service. “She was a shining example of the commitment our town officers demonstrate in serving their community with care, understanding, and efficiency,” the statement said.

Commissioners expressed condolences and said they would circulate the text of the tribute for inclusion in meeting materials.
