The Lorain County Board of Commissioners adopted an economic development plan to support creation of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district in Eaton Township to fund turn lanes, ditch work and sewer planning; staff said schools already approved supporting resolutions and the township trustees were expected to vote.

The Lorain County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt an economic development plan that sets the framework for a Tax Increment Financing, or TIF, district in Eaton Township. County staff said the plan is intended to facilitate public infrastructure improvements — including a Route 82 turn lane, a Route 57 turn lane with associated curb cuts required by the Ohio Department of Transportation, ditch improvements and sewer‑master‑planning work — that would support planned residential and commercial development.
