Director McVay summarized the proposal, which uses a stepped approach rather than a straight across‑the‑board increase; in aggregate the plan equates to about a 2.6% increase and an estimated $1.66 increase per month for the average Meridian resident. Staff said the increases were published in the newspaper and mailed in utility bills and that no public input had been received.
Council closed the public hearing and moved to adopt Resolution No. 25‑25‑51 to formalize the rates with an effective date of Jan. 1. The motion carried on roll call.
