At a public hearing, the Lake Placid Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 20 25-19 on second reading to adjust the town's 2024–25 budget.
Speaker 9 moved to adopt the ordinance, which the presiding official read into the record. The ordinance described light line-item adjustments to reflect actual expenses and revenue and removed projects that rolled into the 2025–26 fiscal year. During the reading the figure $11,128,263.69 was stated as part of the amendment, with an effective date of Sept. 30, 2025. The motion received a second, the council took public comment, and a roll-call vote produced unanimous support from polled members.
The ordinance text as read states the purpose is to amend the town budget to reflect current-year expenses and revenue and to remove rollovers into the next fiscal year. No amendments to the ordinance were recorded during second reading; the council moved the measure to final adoption.
The council did not attach additional conditions to the ordinance in this session. Staff will incorporate the approved line-item adjustments into the town's fiscal records and post the ordinance and amended budget documents to the town's official records.
