Board approves $25,400 amendment to utility rate and fee study; tap‑fee analysis expanded

At the Dec. 9 meeting the Wellington Board of Trustees approved a contract amendment to the 2025 utility rate and fee study. Meagan Smith, deputy director of public works, told trustees the amendment adds limited scope, extends the contract timeline, and increases the total contract amount by approximately $25,400 to fund additional rate‑alternative testing, an additional stakeholder meeting, recorded digital presentations and development of scalable water tap fees intended to align fees with differing types of residential development.
