The Board of Selectmen agreed Dec. 3 to correct an over‑withdrawal related to the purchase of a Troystar (Troyster) controller attachment for a grader. Town staff explained the trustees of trust funds had moved accounts to Invest New Hampshire and that an invoice request exceeded the available balance for the highway and cemetery equipment capital reserve. The board moved to reimburse the trustees and transfer $21,900 from Invest New Hampshire back into the Highway and Cemetery equipment capital reserve; the motion carried.
Finance staff said the transfer is an accounting correction rather than a new warrant request and that auditors advised how to reflect the transaction in the town books. The board recorded the transfer authorization and did not place the transaction on a warrant because it follows previously authorized expenditures and trust fund procedures.
