Kootenai County commissioners approved multiple contracts to repair and upgrade facilities at the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) during their Dec. 30 meeting.

Tom Reid, KCSO maintenance, asked the board to approve CTC Electrical Contracting Inc. to complete exterior garage-door electrical repairs for KCSO North (SWAT and maintenance storage) at a cost of $49,950, noting that $56,353 had been included in the FY26 budget, leaving a savings. Reid also requested approval for CTC Electric to complete a Phase 2 electrical repairs project at the KCSO North campus for $19,950; staff said that project was included in the FY26 budget. Both contracts were moved, seconded and approved by the board.

Jeff Fuller, director of facilities, introduced his son, Jace Fuller, who summarized a contract from Geno Construction for a partition wall in the KCSO marine unit. Legal reviewed the contract and the board voted to approve it.

Each presenter noted that legal had reviewed the documents. The contracts were approved as routine capital/maintenance actions; the board did not receive public comment on these items.
