County staff asked the board to approve a commitment letter to FEMA stating Baker County’s intention to rebuild its NFIP compliance program and to resolve two legacy property records identified during a prior community assistance visit. Staff explained that the two properties had addressing discrepancies stemming from the county’s 1998 conversion from rural‑route addresses to 9‑1‑1 addressing and that elevation certificates and other flood‑plain records must be documented in the county archive.
