St. Lawrence County opens four bids, including elevator maintenance and jail EHR upgrade

St. Lawrence County purchasing staff opened four bids at a public reading session. Stephanie Kerr, the county’s assistant purchasing agent, said the items included an electronic voucher for the assigned counsel program, elevator maintenance for county buildings, an electronic health record improvement project for the county correctional facility, and a large food service and maintenance supply contract.

Kerr read basic pricing and vendor names into the record. For RFP 2025-10 (assigned counsel electronic voucher), a vendor listed as “function 1” bid a monthly fee of $1,295 and an upfront fee of $4,500; Kerr said those prices include maintenance and support and that another vendor (identified in an email as Legal Services) had postmarked a bid and staff would wait to receive it. For RFP 2025-11 (elevator maintenance for St. Lawrence County buildings), Schindler was the only bidder. Kerr read Schindler’s pricing options as annual in advance $1,600; semiannual $1,006.32; quarterly $1,006.64; or monthly $1,006.96, and confirmed receipt of the bidder’s noncollusion form.

On RFP 2025-14, the EHR improvement project for the St. Lawrence County correctional facility, Kerr announced bids from CorrectTech and Fusion. Fusion’s submission included a one-time cost of $29,004.25 plus a 60‑month subscription priced at about $1,008.53 per month; Kerr said she had Fusion’s noncollusion form and addendum on file and would follow up if CorrectTech’s addendum was missing from its packet. For RFP 2025-16, the county’s food service and maintenance supply contract for the second half of the year, Kerr said the package contains roughly 130 line items and listed vendors that submitted bids: Pyramid School Company, W.V. Mason, St. Lawrence Supply, Hill & Marks, Unipap, Inferro, and Central Poly. She said safety data sheets were included for certain items and that staff would tabulate responses and notify vendors of apparent line-item winners.

"We've got 4 bids that we're opening today," Kerr said as she read the submissions into the record. She thanked bidders and provided a contact email for questions: bids@saintlatco.gov. The bids will be tabulated and the purchasing office will notify vendors of tentative awards and any missing documentation that needs to be supplied.

The purchasing office did not take votes or make awards at the session; the reading established receipt and basic compliance documentation for each submission. Further review and any formal award decisions will occur after staff tabulation and any required completeness checks.
