Airport manager Lenny Sansone said 5,217 gallons of Avgas produced $28,556 in revenue with a gross profit of $8,799.45; Jet A sales (self- and full-serve) and associated revenues were also tallied. Combined uplift for the three months was 20,242 gallons, with total revenue reported at about $103,424 and gross profit around $40,917.
Sansone clarified the numbers represent gross profit, not net profit, and that airport policy and grant-assurance terms require that fuel profits remain in airport operations. "The profit is what's left over," he said when commissioners asked about the figures and added the airport still faces operating costs such as personnel and equipment.
Commissioners responded positively to the improving fuel-sales trend and thanked administration for providing detailed information.
What happens next: Staff will continue to present monthly or quarterly fuel reports; commissioners said they welcome visuals and more detailed breakdowns in future meetings.
