Willacy County proclaims January 2026 Human Trafficking Awareness Month; SART biennial report accepted
Willacy County Commissioners adopted a proclamation designating January 2026 as National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, approved a Jan. 9 awareness event and accepted the county’s Adult Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) 2025 biennial report, including the appointment of a sexual assault nurse examiner. The proclamation and resolution were approved by voice votes.
