Commission adopts updated fire codes and readopts fire fee schedule for Truckee Meadows Fire
Washoe County adopted an ordinance updating county fire code editions to the 2024 International Fire Code and moved the fire permit/service fee schedule from code into a resolution; the actions passed on a second reading and vote, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

The Washoe County Board of Commissioners approved two measures affecting fire regulation and fees for the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District: a resolution readopting the county and district's permit and service fee schedule and an ordinance amending Washoe County Code chapter 60 to adopt the 2024 editions of the International Fire Code and the International Wildland-Urban Interface Code with local modifications.
