Board resolves Facebook access problems, centralizes Visit Jefferson page under city account

Unidentified Speaker 2 described a multi-step process to regain control of the Visit Jefferson Facebook page after hidden permissions and ownership flags prevented posting. They said they worked with a platform expert, reset Instagram–Facebook linkages and logged in as Instagram to re-establish authoritative access, added Grama and removed Anderson from posting roles, and moved primary ownership under the city’s dormant account so the city retains access if staff change.

Unidentified Speaker 2 said Danielle and Tammy Doryot have permissions and that the speaker will remove their own access as transitions complete. The board discussed using the old city login as a continuity account for business assets, ensuring future staff turnover will not lock the organization out of social accounts.

Members also confirmed Stephanie has been given access to a folder of past parade video and that the group will provide her this year’s footage. The board encouraged members to submit photos and video to Danielle or Tammy for posting, or to route items through the speaker while access issues are finalized.

The board did not take formal action beyond confirming the access changes and directing staff to continue posting new content.
