The Peter County comprehensive-plan process moves into its public phase: Doug Westerfeld of the Area Plan Commission told commissioners Jan. 5 that HWC (engineering firm) has completed data collection and the steering committee is organized, and that the next step will be public workshops on Thursday, Jan. 15 at noon and 6 p.m. in the EMA Training Room at the county annex. Westerfeld said focus groups (housing, real estate, agriculture and similar stakeholders) will meet the prior day to inform the public sessions.
