APC committees place petitions on upcoming agendas, approve variances and December budget

On Jan. 7 the Tippecanoe APC executive committee placed multiple subdivision, BZA and rezoning petitions on upcoming public hearing agendas, acted on a slate of variances, approved the December 2025 budget report, and adjourned. Most measures were advanced by voice votes.
The Tippecanoe County Area Plan Commission executive committee met Jan. 7 and handled several routine but consequential procedural items.
By voice votes the committee placed three subdivision petitions (S-5318 Dayton Road; S-5319 Bower Ridge Estates; S-5320 Enclave Klondike) and multiple rezoning petitions (including Z3016 Parkview Health System Inc., Z3017 City of West Lafayette and Z3018 JHS Investments Group LLC) on the Jan. 21, 2026 Area Plan Commission public hearing agenda at petitioners' request. The committee also placed several Board of Zoning Appeals items on the Jan. 28 BZA agenda (BZA-2217 Dunbar Electric; BZA-2218 KCB Giles; BZA-2219 Heber Real Estate).
The committee addressed a long slate of variance docket numbers under the Unified Zoning Ordinance and motioned that the listed requests not be considered use variances; those variance determinations for named applicants (including Walmart Real Estate Business Trust, Triple R LLC, Tippecanoe Land Holding Inc., Aaron Walker and Louise Jaquez Hanna Properties) were carried by voice vote.
Staff presented the December 2025 budget report, noting year-end equipment and other final expenses and no encumbrances; a motion to approve the report as submitted was carried by voice vote.
The executive committee also moved and carried the approval of minutes from the Dec. 3, 2025 public hearing.
No citizens registered to comment during the meeting and the committees adjourned after previewing upcoming items, including lot coverage (February) and a public outreach period for a draft solar ordinance in March and April.
