The Morrow County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday appointed Davis as board chair for 2026 and named Clerk Limholz vice chair during the meeting’s opening business. Commissioners moved and seconded both appointments; both motions carried on voice votes.

One commissioner voiced a preference that the chair position rotate among members in future years, but the board majority voted to keep Davis in the role for the coming term. No members of the public offered comment during the roll call.

The appointments were procedural and front-loaded at the start of the meeting so the board could proceed into departmental reports and public hearings.
