Sponsor Mark McConkie requested and the committee approved an interim study for SB 539 to allow more stakeholder work on proposed RPS changes affecting biomass plants and REC markets.

Sen. Mark McConkie asked the committee to place Senate Bill 539 on interim study so stakeholders (biomass/wood-to-energy and timber industry) could continue to refine proposals to move New Hampshire biomass plants into class 3 of the renewable portfolio standard. Committee members expressed no opposition and the motion to interim study was moved and carried on voice vote.
