Lee County Commission authorizes ACCA intervention in SSUT case, renews lease and approves routine items
The Lee County Commission voted to authorize the Alabama Counties Commissioners Association (ACCA) to intervene in SSUT litigation, approved a cable franchise renewal with RM Green (Beam), granted ABC special-event licenses, reappointed Andrew Bridal to the Beulah Utilities Board and authorized a three-year lease extension for the Smith Station revenue office.

The Lee County Commission voted to authorize the Alabama Counties Commissioners Association (ACCA) to file a motion to intervene on behalf of Lee County and other counties in a lawsuit challenging the Simplified Sellers Use Tax (SSUT). Staff presented the resolution and a motion to authorize the intervention carried by voice vote.
