Commissioners approve procurement items, budget transfer and TechShare/architect contracts

At its Jan. 13 meeting the Denton County Commissioners Court approved several procurement and administrative items across departments.
The court awarded ITB 252879 (Elections Moving Services) to Sudath Workplace Solutions LLC and authorized advertisement for ITB 252897 (fleet vehicles). It also approved renewal of REP212660 for temporary services with named primary and secondary agencies (Abacus Corporation; Lark LLC dba OnTrack Staffing; Second Century Technology Incorporated) covering clerical, light-industrial, payroll and medical categories.
The court approved budget amendment request 2026130 to transfer $9,500 from Vaccines to Capital Equipment in Public Health Clinical to buy a replacement vaccine refrigerator. Human Resources reported promotions, demotions and new hires across departments (including four new hires in the sheriff’s office).
The court also approved an addendum and interlocal agreement with Collin County/TechShare to provide juvenile services as recommended by juvenile-probation and IT staff, and approved a master agreement for architectural services for the Charlie J. Coe Building with BKV Group Architects. Commissioners noted TechShare’s improving performance; one commissioner disclosed service on the TechShare board and urged confidence in the partnership.
