Appointments and calendar: Council appointed Councilwoman Stephanie Warmarth as mayor pro tem by motion. The council approved the 2026 meeting calendar (Option 1) unanimously. Council also approved the appointment of Anna McCoy to the Planning & Zoning Commission (Ward 3) by a 4–1 vote.
Minutes and abstentions: The motion to approve certain minutes (work session 12/02/2025 and meeting 12/09/2025) passed with three votes in favor and two abstentions, reflecting that some newly seated members did not attend the referenced meetings.
Executive-session land purchases: After a closed executive session to discuss property acquisitions under OCGA provisions, the council returned to open session and approved two motions to purchase right-of-way/easements across parcel V0501600005 and to purchase parcel V050150050; both actions passed unanimously.
