Sheriff’s office proposal to switch dog-licensing vendor paused after fee-structure concerns

Steve Lewis, operations lieutenant with the sheriff's office, told commissioners the county has had repeated problems with the ShelterBoss dog-licensing portal and proposed an amended agreement with Permidian LLC, a vendor already used for concealed-handgun licensing. Lewis said the Permidian platform appeared more user-friendly and could reduce transaction issues.
