The Scotts Bluff County Board approved a year‑end certification confirming the county employed a licensed county highway superintendent for the 2025 period and authorized the board chair to sign the certification so the county can claim the related incentive payment.
Steve (roads staff) explained the certification covers the period Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2025 and that the incentive is contingent on the superintendent holding a Class A license. "That's the only way you get that incentive payment is to have a class A license," he said. Commissioners discussed the resolution briefly and noted the county has historically received the incentive payment as a routine annual matter.
A motion to approve the resolution and to allow the chairperson to sign the certification was moved and seconded; the board voted (announced as 4 yeses) and the motions carried. The presentation included a figure discussed in the meeting of about $10,500 as the incentive amount; the transcript referenced an incentive payment in that range.
Next steps: Chair will sign the certification; county staff will file the certification so the county can receive the incentive payment.
