Delaware County commissioners approve slate of routine resolutions, move into executive session

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners, meeting for the first time in the new year, approved a series of routine resolutions on administrative, procurement and ceremonial matters and voted to adjourn into executive session.
The board unanimously approved Resolution No. 26-01 to accept the electronic record of the Dec. 22, 2025 meeting, followed by approvals of Resolution No. 26-02 (purchase orders and warrants batch CMABR0109) and No. 26-03 (travel expense requests). Resolution No. 26-04 accepted the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office transport report for November 2025.
The commissioners approved an interjurisdictional agreement under Resolution No. 26-05 with the joint solid waste district (Delaware, Knox, Marion and Morrow counties) to implement county recycling and litter-prevention office services. The board also approved Resolution No. 26-11, standard owner’s agreements for roadway and drainage construction associated with Berlin Sections 1 & 2 and the Del Webb North Star development, and Resolution No. 26-12, a summary sheet authorizing 24 utility right-of-way permits.
Resolutions No. 26-08 and No. 26-09 were ceremonial proclamations honoring the Olentangy Berlin High School cheer team (reported as about 36 members) and a high school football team (noted as 84 members) for state championships; both proclamations were approved. The board also reappointed Amanda Fava to the Delaware Metropolitan Housing Authority (Resolution No. 26-06) and approved reappointments to the Concord Sciota Community Authority board of trustees (Resolution No. 26-07).
Resolution No. 26-10 authorized the acceptance of December donations to the Department of Job & Family Services. According to department staff, donations helped more than 50 families and included an anonymous donor (about $1,000 in gifts), United Way of Delaware ($3,800) and Liberty Presbyterian Church ($15,000).
Before moving into executive session the board noted routine administrative items, constituent follow-ups and upcoming internal meetings. By voice vote, commissioners approved Resolution No. 26-14 to adjourn into executive session for matters involving appointment/employment/compensation of a public official, purchase of property for public purposes and collective bargaining. The board did not take further public action on those items during the open meeting.
The meeting record shows votes recorded as "aye" by the commissioners present on each motion; no recorded negative or abstaining votes were announced.
