Johnson County solid waste board re-elects officers, approves routine resolutions and keeps bank depository

Board members discussed renewing the district's agreements for legal and accounting services under previous terms (a rate of $160/hour was referenced); the board voted to renew those services for 2026.
Finally, the board reviewed financial depositories and voted to retain First Merchants Bank as the district depository at the reported rate (about 2.83% return); a motion to stay with First Merchants passed by voice vote. The meeting adjourned and the finance board convened at 3:02 p.m.
