At the Jan. 13 meeting the Pipestone County Board of Commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding to renew the county's use of BudgetSpec, a software program used by county staff to manage client files.
Speaker 4 presented the MOU and described the program as a long-used tool that staff rely on for client management. "They provide a service. They offer the service. We use the service," Speaker 4 said, adding the MOU is routine and budgeted.
Speaker 1 moved to approve signature authority to renew the software; a second was recorded and the motion was approved by voice. One commissioner registered opposition during the vote as recorded in the transcript, but the motion carried and staff were authorized to renew the service for another year.
The board noted the MOU is funded within the annual budget and that the amount is unchanged from the prior year.
