The Pipestone County Board of Commissioners approved a 2% increase to the county’s 2026 nonunion pay plan at its Jan. 13 meeting.
An unidentified presenter described the recommended adjustment and pointed commissioners to supporting salary-grade documentation. "The recommendation is, 2% increase in pay plan for 2026," Speaker 1 said. The presenter also noted the county was negotiating separately with unions, and that one bargaining unit had reached agreement on a 3% wage increase.
A motion to adopt the nonunion pay plan was made and approved by voice vote; no formal roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript. Commissioners did not attach additional implementation conditions during the meeting. The board indicated the increase is budgeted and part of the 2026 personnel plan.
