The commission approved the minutes from its Oct. 23 meeting and received routine updates from staff on building permits, development prospects and code enforcement.
Staff reported "We're at a 144 new permits as of Monday," and said new construction homes totaled 16 so far this year with 13 commercial permits; last year's commercial activity included school additions, a security bank and a fireworks building. Commissioners discussed possible new development in the Oak Island division and the Creekside area depending on engineering reviews.
On code enforcement, staff said courtesy notices are being issued for snow on sidewalks. A motion to adjourn carried on a voice vote and the meeting ended.
