Redmond planning commission continues High Desert Ranch annexation hearing to Oct. 22

The Redmond Urban Area Planning Commission on Wednesday continued a public hearing on the High Desert Ranch annexation, planned unit development, tentative subdivision and conditional use to Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Kyle Roberts, staff, told commissioners that the continuance was requested by staff because the applicant had previously asked to delay to this date to provide additional materials and those materials arrived only the morning of Oct. 8, giving staff insufficient time to complete a full review and recommendation. "I did get that, this morning," Roberts said during the meeting.

The chair then called for a motion to continue the hearing. A motion was made (the mover is not identified in the transcript) and Mercedes Cook Bostick seconded the motion. Several commissioners verbally indicated "aye" and the chair declared the motion carried. The transcript does not attach individual vote attributions or a numeric tally to the continuance vote.

Commissioners completed the remainder of the brief agenda without additional substantive discussion of the High Desert Ranch item. Later in the meeting Norman Feltz moved to adjourn; Michael Rogers seconded and commissioners voted to adjourn.
