Council amends GLUP to regularize JB Steel storage yard and allow slight expansion on Rieger Street
Medford City Council approved a GLUP amendment for roughly 0.78 acres on Rieger Street to change the designation from urban residential to commercial so JB Steel's long-standing storage yard is brought into conformance and can be slightly expanded; planning commission recommended approval and the council voted 8–0.

The Medford City Council on Dec. 17 approved a minor General Land Use Plan (GLUP) amendment that converts about 0.78 acres on the west side of Rieger Street from urban residential to commercial to regularize and slightly expand an existing JB Steel storage yard.
