Planters complete, Warwick drainage scheduled and Hilton Fishing Pier design set for 2026 procurement

At the Nov. 12 work session, staff gave updates on waterfront and neighborhood projects in Hilton Village and Warwick Boulevard.
Greg reported that the Hilton Village planters along Warwick are complete (17 planters) and that Parks & Recreation will coordinate plantings with Planning. On Warwick Boulevard, staff said milling and paving would now begin on Nov. 20 (not the previously reported Nov. 17) and, weather permitting, crews expect to finish before Thanksgiving; related pipeline work is scheduled for December.
On the Hilton Fishing Pier, staff said the project has been combined with the Monterey/Merrimack Overlook fishing pier to gain economies of scale. The requisition has moved to purchasing and staff expect to have a design firm under contract next week to complete geotechnical work and surveying. Staff said the plan is to advertise the construction contract in October 2026 with a best‑case completion in October 2027; if permitting imposes a time‑of‑year restriction on pile installation, practical completion could shift to February 2028.
