MERRIMACK COUNTY — Finance staff told the board that year-to-date revenues are performing better than budget, estimating about $2,000,000 in surplus versus expectations and projecting no need to draw on fund balance this year.
The staff presentation noted that expenses are tracking under budget and that personnel and benefits are approximately 2% under projections. Commissioners discussed the possibility of transferring surplus funds to the county’s CIP and agreed to schedule further discussion at the next meeting.
The finance office said it will propose specific transfer amounts and supporting analysis at a future meeting; any transfer would be addressed as part of the formal budget and CIP process.
