The Montgomery County Commission moved, seconded and approved a series of routine items in its consent agenda, including approval of the minutes of the Jan. 6, 2026 meeting; accounts payable and payroll checks; and the sale of three decommissioned Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office vehicles.
The body approved a subrecipient agreement with Alabama A&M University for a state crisis intervention grant and approved two separate contract amendments with Galls LLC extending sheriff's office agreements through 03/17/2027 and 02/03/2027, respectively. The Commission also approved a change order to install new UPS systems at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
Other approved items included the 2026 county employee blood drive, miscellaneous appropriations from commissioners to local nonprofits and neighborhood services (dollar allocations were read into the record by the clerk), and travel/training requests for Finance, the Sheriff's Office, and Tax and Audit. Several actions were moved and seconded with 'aye' votes and carried as recorded in the meeting.
Ending: The Commission closed its formal agenda items and moved to discussion topics; no contested votes or recorded dissents were made on the consent items in this meeting.
