The Dinwiddie County Planning Commission on Jan. 14 elected Mr. Hayes as chairman and Alvin Langley as vice chairman by acclamation and approved routine organizational housekeeping items including the annual meeting calendar, the PC bylaws, and the code of ethics and standards of conduct.
Commissioners voted to approve the meeting schedule, noting one conflict with Veterans Day and confirming the next regular meetings. The commission also accepted the bylaws and the bylaws resolution memo as presented, and adopted the code of ethics language for the upcoming year.
Staff also previewed a forthcoming application: a replacement communications tower at the Dominion Power substation on Ellington Road that will require a conditional-use permit and is expected to come before the commission in March.
Votes on routine business (agenda, minutes, bylaws, ethics code) were recorded by roll call and carried without substantive debate. The meeting adjourned by acclamation.
