The Moore County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 18 approved the addition of two privately maintained roads, Dupree Drive and Libby Lane, to the county Road Naming and Addressing Ordinance.
GIS Coordinator Rachel Smith told the board the easement for Dupree Drive is shown on plat cabinet 20, slide 884, and the easement for Libby Lane is shown on plat cabinet 20, slide 950; she clarified Libby Lane runs parallel to Cindy Road and is intended for initial naming of privately maintained roads outside municipal limits. No public speakers appeared when the county opened the public hearing; a motion to add the two names was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The ordinance addition formalizes addressing for the two roads and enables county addressing and emergency‑response referencing for those private roads.
