County approves $3.05 million amendment for Foresthill Bridge weld testing and repairs

Placer County public-works staff told the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday that ultrasonic testing of welds on the Foresthill Bridge (the county-owned high steel structure on Foresthill Road) has identified more repair work than originally estimated, and the board approved an amendment to the professional-services agreement with Atlas Technical Consultants to finish testing and perform incidental weld drill-outs and repairs.
