Health grant amendment: Health Director Brian Hatch asked the commission to approve an amendment to a contract with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services for public health emergency and health care preparedness. The receivable is $257,244.08 for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Hatch said the amount represents about 75% of typical funding and that the remaining 25% was being held pending further notice; he said the hold-back may be resolved by year’s end. Commissioners approved the amendment.
Sheriff’s Office: Chief Deputy Butcher presented three items. The commission approved a training reimbursement agreement for Amanda Marie Sholly (SFO/BCO training) with a payable of $17,399 that becomes a receivable if terms are not met. The commission certified substantial completion for the ankle monitor program remodel (contract 2024-0983; certificate of occupancy received). Commissioners also ratified a written notice of termination of service provider contract 20240191 with Higher Ground Live 911 software and licensing.
Information Systems contracts: Director Jeff Hassett asked the commission to approve two contract amendments with the master agreement 20250367 for additional network/phone lines. One amendment (EOC lines, $2,533/month) was tabled pending controller sign-off and clarification about the use of state and local fiscal relief funds that must be used by 2026. The other amendment (a dedicated investigator line for the Sheriff’s Office, $585/month) was approved and will be renewed annually while needed.
Consent agenda and Board of Equalization: Commissioners approved consent items 10–12, including an agreement with Elevate Sports Center for a gymnastics meet at the Western Sports Park. The Board of Equalization approved the property tax register with veteran exemptions abated totaling $33,826.76 and assessor-initiated corrections totaling $3,000,792.83; the commission reconvened and closed the item.
All approvals were recorded at the meeting without a roll-call vote; Commissioners said "All in favor" and "Aye" in response to motions. The commission recessed to the Board of Equalization during the meeting and reconvened before adjourning.
