Morrow County commissioners approve routine payments, appropriations, appointments and a contract termination

During the consent and business portion of the meeting, Speaker 2 listed payments for approval, including payments from Chesterville Betterment, a National opioid settlement payment to Kroger, a COBRA payment from Business Solver, and an FAA payment for Harman County Airport. The board moved, seconded and recorded affirmative responses to the motion to approve those payments.
Commissioners approved appropriations of certified monies to the special projects fund and an appropriation for general fund loss control. They also approved preparation of appropriated certified monies tied to a jail construction grant, and a transfer of funds for the Job and Family Services family-centered services support fund. No funding amounts were specified during the meeting.
The board authorized commissioners to sign an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Grant Awards 2026 approval letter. Commissioners also approved appointments and membership to the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and authorized the chairman to apply for an LEPC appointment.
Separately, the board voted to terminate a contract with Alert Tracking Systems and TeleTech Corporation for services to the sheriff’s office; a speaker confirmed the termination runs through Dec. 31.
