Commissioners approve routine payments, multiple fund transfers and intergovernmental agreement

Morrow County commissioners used their Nov. 5 meeting to clear a slate of routine financial items, approving payments, multiple intra‑fund transfers and a renewal of an intergovernmental defense-services agreement with the village of Mount Gilead.
Clerk entries and staff motions covered approval of bills (items 1–167 were noted), payment to Sims Brothers (scrap metal), and appropriations or transfers for the MCAT fund, the engineer's fund, commissioner fuel, coroner office supplies, law enforcement, jail operations, detective operations and fund 2941 for opioid engagement. Each item was moved, seconded and passed on roll-call votes recorded during the meeting.
Commissioners also approved renewal of an intention defense services agreement between the county and the village of Mount Gilead/municipal court; that renewal was presented as a routine renewal and carried on voice/roll call. Several items were described as administrative or clerical by staff during the meeting, and no extended debate followed these motions.
The board recessed midmorning and later returned to session before closing; commissioners closed the meeting after offering Veterans Day remarks and adjourning on a recorded motion.
